Tooth-coloured fillings & crowns.

When a tooth needs restoring, we use modern composite resins and ceramic crowns that look, feel and function like the real thing — with as little drilling as biologically necessary.

How we do it

Modern materials, minimal removal.

01

Magnification & illumination-aided preparation

Loupes and illuminated magnification let us remove only decayed tissue — never sound tooth — and seal margins precisely.

02

Mercury-free composites

BPA-free, tooth-coloured resin layered for invisible blending and life-like translucency.

03

Ceramic crowns (E.max)

High-strength lithium disilicate that mimics enamel. Metal-free, biocompatible, and beautifully translucent.

04

Digital shade matching

We photograph and match your tooth in natural light so the restoration disappears into your smile.

05

Quick turnaround on fixed work

For straightforward crowns and onlays we keep visits tight — fewer appointments, less time off your day.

06

Bite-perfect finish

Articulated bite-checking and polishing means no high spots, no rough edges, no surprises.

The visit

From cavity to completely sorted.

Most fillings are painless and done in 30–45 minutes. Crowns take longer — but always at your pace.

1

Diagnose, don't assume

Visual exam, transillumination and (only if needed) a small x-ray confirm the size and depth of the cavity.

2

Numbing, gently

Topical gel first, then a slow, low-pressure injection. We wait until you confirm you're fully numb — no rushing.

3

Conservative removal

Only the decayed tooth is removed. Caries-detector dye helps us see exactly where to stop.

4

Layered restoration

Composite resin is built up in thin layers, each cured with blue light. For crowns, we take a digital impression.

5

Bite check & polish

You bite on coloured paper to mark high spots. We polish until the tooth feels indistinguishable from its neighbours.

Common questions

Things people often ask.

Why don't you use silver/amalgam fillings?
Modern composite bonds chemically to the tooth, looks invisible, and removes less healthy tooth structure. We also avoid mercury for biocompatibility reasons.
How long do fillings last?
A well-placed composite filling typically lasts 8–12 years. With excellent home care and 6-monthly check-ups, often longer.
Will my crown look fake?
Quite the opposite — modern E.max crowns have natural translucency that often outperforms older porcelain-on-metal crowns. We'll match the shade in natural light.
Can you replace old metal fillings?
Yes, when it's clinically appropriate. We use a rubber dam and high-volume suction to safely remove old amalgam without exposing you or us to mercury vapour.
